11/30/16 To-do
List -- Part Two
1. If you are on
Twitter, a group called Sleeping Giants (@slpng-giants) is trying to stop racist websites by
stopping their ad dollars. Since so
many use third-party advertising methods, most companies don’t know. Here is what they are asking people to
do: 1) look on Breitbart and take a
screenshot of an ad, 2) tweet the screenshot to the advertiser with a polite
note, and 3) tag @slpng_giants. Here is
a sample: “@GerberLife Did you know your ads run on the
racist, misogynistic Breitbart site? @slpng_giants can help you remove them. “ I would think that the same thing could be
done on FB as well or letters/emails to the company.
2. Likewise, we need to send support to those companies
that remove ads. Calls of support
needed! Kellogg's just pulled its ads from Breitbart News website. They are now
being pounded with hate calls. The customer service rep I spoke to was practically
in tears she was so pleased that I called to thank them for this action instead
of to revile them. - long wait on hold but worth it.just go to speaker phone
and do other things while waiting. You're waiting out the haters! Or write.
