Contact Legislators and White House

Contact your legislators here:
or via free online fax here:  Reps:
If your senators and reps aren't saved in your phone yet, text your zip code to
520-200-2223. You'll immediately get a text back with everyone's contact info, INCLUDING your STATE senator and representative.

  1. There are a few Congressional committees saying they will look into the Russia/Trump/Election mess, but only S.B. 27 calls for an independent commission, however it is languishing in committee since early January. Contact your senator and tell them to get behind this.  The country needs this to be resolved before we can move on. An independent commission will be the best way.

  1. Call the Southern White House (aka Winter White House) to express concern about issue of choice.  561-832-2600.  Might want to start with these:  For example: Collusion with Russia, threats to freedom of press, corruption in cabinet, waste of taxpayer $$ picking up non-violent/non-criminal immigrants instead of violent criminals, waste of taxpayer $$ for frequent vacations, EPA/climate change

  1. Support a very special bumblebee:  Write: Rep. Ryan Zinke (nominee for Secretary of the Interior) -- Office locations at bottom of this page:  Script: Use a postcard. Draw a bumblebee and add the caption: “Bees are not optional. List the rusty-patched bumblebee as endangered.”

Other Actions

  1. This evening, be part of the “Ready to Resist: Emergency Call #4 with, Indivisible, Working Families Party, People's Action, and Center for Popular Democracy”.  More info and RSVP here:

  1. The Women's March is joining the #DefundDAPL and #DivestDAPL movement. Support the Water Protectors at Standing Rock and divest from the banks funding DAPL. See the list of banks, along with instructions and tips on how to divest here:

  1. Fifteen companies have already cut their financial ties with Trump, thanks in part to the Grab Your Wallet campaign. Keep the pressure on retailers to dump Trump products; check for the updated list.

  1. The Ladies Professional Golf Association is hosting this year's U.S. Women's Open at Trump's New Jersey golf resort. Sign the petition to: "Dump Trump! A sexist, serial abuser should not host the most prestigious women's golf tournament in America."  You can also contact them direction by giving a call: (386) 274-6200 or leaving a comment on their website:

  1. Definitely a timely topic, the book Governing Global Health: Who Runs the World and Why?, was written by Chelsea Clinton and recently published by Oxford University Press.  There seems to be a concerted effort to post negative reviews without benefit of purchasing or reading the book. Perhaps, we could fix that?

  1. Fox News is taking a poll:  Do you think there should be a deeper investigation into Trump administration contacts with Russian officials?

  1. There are many ways to #resist. Ask your local library to invest in a more diverse representation of peoples by adding these children’s books to their shelves:

  1. Read up on the fact-checking of 45’s Florida rally:

Petitions to Sign

  1. From the National Education Association (NEA):  Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos called NEA President Lily Eskelsen García the other day. In response, Lily sent a letter, outlining the questions we still have about the commitments we - parents and educators - demand DeVos make to our students.  Read the letter and add your name to demand answers from Betsy DeVos.

  1. Why we need to be careful with “rogue” and “alt” government Twitter accounts:

  1. Looking at exactly what 45 has actually done and hasn’t done:

  1. Inroads are starting to be made in red states:

  1. The alt-right does not exist. It's nothing more than white supremacists who have repackaged the hate and served it up in a more palatable form for human consumption.”
