Three blatantly anti-union, anti-worker bills are
currently before the House: H.R. 986 would take away workers’ rights if
they work at tribal casinos or on any part of tribal land, no matter their job;
H.R. 2776 would give employers the right to set the date for union
representation elections, enabling them to postpone these votes for months at a
time; H.R. 2775 would cut off workers' access to key information before an
election, denying workers the opportunity to make an informed decision about

The GOP is trying to push through the Graham-Cassidy
bill, even though the CBO has announced that it will not be able to provide its

Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price last week took private jets on
five separate flights for official business, at a cost of tens of thousands of
dollars more than commercial travel. Price, a frequent critic of federal
spending who has been developing a plan for departmentwide cost savings,
declined to comment." This breaks with the tradition of previous secretaries

article also says McCain voted no mostly because the process used "
violated everything he believes about how the senate should function". The
process being used this time is similar. The new bill has more money for Alaska
and Maine so I just emphasized how their vote affects millions of people
nationwide. Thanks.

Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach on
Tuesday defended his use of a personal email address to conduct
business in his role as vice chairman of President Trump's voter fraud
commission, saying that using his Kansas state email would be a "waste of
state resources." Because Kobach is using a personal email instead of a
government account, the emails are not subject to public records requests
unless copied or sent to a government account. According to ProPublica, in
order for members of the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity
to comply with federal records retention laws, they must either use government
email accounts, copy a government account on messages sent from a private
account or send messages from their private accounts to a government

The House is expected to vote on legislation
deregulating the sale of firearm silencers, over the objections of law

1.
SD: State Representative Lynne DiSanto (R), the
GOP Whip, has already apologized for posting an anti-protest meme "all
lives splatter." Above the meme, DiSanto had written her own comment: “I
think this is a movement we can all support.” Her excuse shows her lack of
understanding of First Amendments rights of peaceful assembly, "I
perceived it as encouraging people to stay out of the street.” Per
the Rapid City Journal, DiSanto has already been dropped
as speaker at a local event and has lost her position with a real estate
company. She needs to hear from us, especially if we are her
constituents. We need to help her understand how mistaken she was: Lynne

NY: "Teamsters Joint Council 16, with 27 affiliate
local unions representing 120,000 workers in the New York City area, has
declared itself a so-called sanctuary union after the deportation of one of its

SD "State Rep. Lynne DiSanto, R-Box Elder, was
criticized by the state Democratic Party and others Tuesday and lost
her position at a real estate firm after she made a post to Facebook that joked
about striking protesters with a vehicle. The post consisted of a drawing of an
SUV mowing down stick-figure people, plus three lines of text: “All Lives
Splatter,” “Nobody cares about your protest” and “Keep your (expletive) out of
the road.” Above the meme, DiSanto wrote her own comment: “I think this is a
movement we can all support.” She added the hashtag “alllivessplatter” — a play
on the slogan "All Lives Matter," which arose in response to the
Black Lives Matter movement — to make the post appear with other similar posts
on Facebook." She lost her job so we know she worked for a responsible
